Actress Adria Arjona Spotlights LatinX Representation in BMW Hispanic Heritage Campaign

BMW and W Magazine are proud to partner with Adria Arjona this Hispanic Heritage Month. With roots in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala & the U.S., Arjona’s heritage is multilayered & international. She brings the full richness of her identity to her craft by choosing complex, boundary-breaking roles. “I’ve never felt more proud to be a Latin American woman,” says Arjona. “I am very aware of how lucky I am to be living in this moment in history. I want to believe this is just the beginning.”

Director Nina Meredith and actress Adria Arjona explore the connective tissue between heritage and representation in film in BMW’s Hispanic Heritage Campaign. The Morbius actress – half Guatemalan and half Puerto Rican, and raised in Mexico – draws inspiration from the seaside as a familiar, comfortable backdrop that pays homage to her upbringing.

Director Nina, represented for commercials in the US by Rattling Stick, tracks Adria’s BMW excursion. The scenic journey is narrated by the actress as she voices introspective goals: to enhance representation and break stereotypes for LatinX individuals working in the film industry.
