The Sony and Marvel film hits Oct. 8.
Jared Leto’s Morbius will not be haunting audiences in March. The Sony and Marvel film has moved its release date to Oct. 8. It previously had been set for March 18.
The move comes as theatergoing remains uncertain amid the coronavirus pandemic. The film was previously slated for last July before the pandemic delayed it.
Jared Leto confirms the Sony Morbius movie will be coming to this weekend’s Tokyo Comic Con in Japan.
Similar to recent conventions, the Tokyo Comic Con will be virtual, as Jared Leto says he recently recorded a message about Morbius for the event.
“Yeah, and hopefully we’ll see you soon. You know this morning, I just made a message for Japanese Comic Con. Yeah, Japanese Comic Con. I just made a video message for them, and then I figured that’s why I came live. Yeah. The movie for Morbius. Yeah, Morbius is coming 2021,” said Leto on Instagram.
Tokyo Comic Con runs Dec. 4-6 and will also include appearances by Keifer Sutherland, Christina Ricci, Michael J. Fox, Elijah Wood, and Millie Bobby Brown. Keep updated at: tokyocomiccon.jp.
